Reedsburg, WI – The 2021/2022 Sauk County Institute of Leadership (SCIL) class gathered at MATC’s Reedsburg campus with an esteemed panel of leaders in addressing Sauk County’s opioid epidemic to discuss measures being taken on a county level to address the issue.
December Session Recap
The Sauk County Institute of Leadership (SCIL) continued its 2021-22 class on December 9 with an all-day session focusing on the importance of authenticity in leadership and how adverse life events form and shape leaders. Participants shared stories about difficult experiences with one another and explored how these have formed them into leaders.
November Session Recap
The 2021/2022 Sauk County Institute of Leadership (SCIL) members gathered together at Camp Gray in Reedsburg for their November meeting held on Veterans Day. They explored the topic of diversity under the guiding statement of “Diversity is the one true thing we have in common…Celebrate it every day.” SSM Health St. Clare Hospital- Baraboo sponsored the day’s events.
October Session Recap
This year’s Sauk County Institute of Leadership (SCIL) class met on Thursday, October 14th, at the new Rock Springs Community Center to continue their growth as leaders in our community.
September Retreat
This past week 18 leaders from across Sauk County were welcomed to Durward’s Glen Retreat Center at W11876 McLeish Rd, Baraboo, WI to kick off the 2021/2022 season of SCIL (Sauk County Institute of Leadership).

SCIL in Action: Establishing the Reedsburg Young Professionals
Four individuals from the class of ‘19; Kira Meister, Gina Mitcham, Ross Retzlaff, and Linda Spencer, wanted to keep younger professionals in the Reedsburg and Sauk county communities by providing an opportunity for them to do something engaging, meaningful, and fun.
