SCIL in Action: Establishing the Reedsburg Young Professionals

Four individuals from the class of ‘19; Kira Meister, Gina Mitcham, Ross Retzlaff, and Linda Spencer, wanted to keep younger professionals in the Reedsburg and Sauk county communities by providing an opportunity for them to do something engaging, meaningful, and fun. The group established the Reedsburg Young Professionals for community members to meet new people, network, and get involved in the community.

In late 2019, the group received a $2500 grant from Sauk County and hosted their first event that brought 60 attendees. Since then, the group has successfully partnered with Reedsburg Butterfest to help organize the event, as well as offered other community and networking events.
